Week 1–2: The Adjustment Period
Most people notice little to no visible change in the first 2 weeks. This is normal. Your skin is adjusting to the light energy. You may feel a slight warmth during sessions — this is expected and safe.
What to do: Stay consistent. Use the mask 4–5 times per week. Take baseline photos in consistent lighting.
Week 3–4: First Visible Changes
Around week 3–4, most users notice:
- Reduced redness and inflammation
- Smoother skin texture
- Subtle glow (especially with red light masks)
This is when many people start to feel hopeful. The changes are subtle but real.
Week 5–8: The Transformation Phase
This is where results become noticeable to others:
- Fine lines around the eyes and mouth begin to soften
- Jawline and under-chin area appear firmer (especially with CurrentBody)
- Overall skin tone becomes more even
- Active breakouts reduce significantly (with blue light masks)
Week 9–12: Peak Results
By week 12, you should see:
- Measurable improvement in skin firmness and elasticity
- Significant reduction in fine lines and wrinkles
- Healthier, more radiant complexion
- Results that continue to improve with ongoing use
🔬 Key Insight from Our Testing
The biggest difference between masks isn't "how fast" they work — it's how deep they penetrate and how consistent people are with use. CurrentBody Series 2 showed the most dramatic jawline and deep wrinkle improvement by week 12 because of the 1072nm wavelength. Omnilux showed excellent redness reduction due to its clinical heritage. Dr. Dennis Gross showed the fastest acne clearance due to blue light.
Important Notes
- Results vary by age, skin type, and consistency
- People over 50 may need 12–16 weeks to see full results
- Maintenance (2–3x per week after 12 weeks) is recommended
- LED masks work best as part of a complete skincare routine
